Pataphysical Proof of March
the snow-mist remains
rising off the river
taking drags of ships’ masts
and distant scaffolding,
indistinguishable from the
vagueness that simmered
sun-white
and as winter wore on, steamed
at the hazy ground of trees, brick
walls and road markers
in bright cloudy dawns.
(how it desired them all
throughout February,
when it pawed at the door
of everywhere,
how innocently, how its wanting
could be reduced to the form
of mist, but that form remaining,
all its libido, at the tick of a clock,
exhausted
crystallized into a rose of jade.)
