Nathan Austin is the author of Survey Says! (Black Maze Books, 2009), (glost) (Handwritten Press, 2002), and Tie an O (Burning Press, 1998). His work was included in Loose Watch: A Lost and Found Times Anthology and Against Expression: An Anthology of Conceptual Writing. Nathan is currently working on an as-yet-untitled book that explores the natural, social and cultural histories of central and Southern California, where he was born and currently lives. He also collects examples of failed optical character recognition in Google's search results. The poems that comprise "Surround Sound" come from an article about composer Eliane Radigue, originally published in frieze magazine in 2011.
