Maria Mon was born in Panama City, Panama. She does not like winter. She moved to Montreal at age 20 to study creative and professional writing at Concordia University, and graduated in 2015. Her writing leans towards magical realism, exploring the relationship between myth and character. Although currently balancing work and the immigration process, she hopes to expand her repertoire soon enough. She currently works at Babel Media as a video game tester, having managed to turn her video game addiction into something moderately profitable.
