Leslie Joy Ahenda was educated at the University of Victoria the University of Guelph. Her work has appeared in Brick Magazine, Contemporary Verse 2, The Fiddlehead, and more, and she will be featured in Best Canadian Poetry 2023. Her previous chapbook, Threnody for a Drowned Girl (2021) was published by Moon Jelly House. She lives in Tkaronto.
