James W. Jesso is a Canadian author and public educator who is helping to engender open discussion on the taboo topic of entheogens. He has published two books, Decomposing The Shadow: Lessons From The Psilocybin Mushroom (2013) and Soundscapes & Psychedelics (2014). His third book, The True Light Of Darkness, is scheduled for release in the summer of 2015. James has authored numerous articles, essays, and videos, done radio, podcast, and print interviews, and toured across the world giving lectures and facilitating discussions on these subjects, among others. He has given over 40 public presentations since the start of 2013. Most recently, Jesso has taught in Peru on plant-based psychotherapy while touring the jungle, studying and exploring Ayahuasca.
