The Worth of Cis-Het Dick
Body of Stone
I keep trying to capture water
From a dry riverbed —
The dust in my hand speaks,
Whispers hydration;
Says: “I will nourish, provide”
I sip;
Let cracked earth fill my throat,
Choke thanks for sated thirst —
With prayer to Salvation
I pull him over me,
A monument to mediocrity
Whom I beg
For six inches of self worth.
